Writer, director and producer.
The idea for the film came from a place of wanting to tell a story of two friends with similar goals but wildly different perspectives. In the end, we see that they complement each other and that they desperately need each other.
It's a combination that shouldn't work, but it does, like a scorpion cocktail.
As "Craig"
When Zack first informed me that I’d booked the role of Craig I was ecstatic to play the character. The story, to me, represented two friends growing up and that growth creating rivaling perspectives between them. I’m a firm believer we’ve all experienced this in some way. What’s most important is that those differences don’t have to tear us apart. Craig and Socko’s wildly silly journey shows us that we can learn to grow together even through our differences.
Special thanks to Zack and all of the amazing individuals that put their passion and hard work into this project, It was the highest honor to be a part of bringing this story to life with you all. As for our audience, please enjoy the show!
As "Socko"
Anthony Casabianca's roots come out of Las Vegas, Nevada. He got a scholarship to play college baseball in Santa Barbara, California. From there, his passion for acting became the love of his life. He now resides in Hollywood, California where he continues to improve his craft and look to new avenues in furthering his career.
As "Randy Cube"
Brian is relatively new to the acting, but as you can see; he has had entertainment in his blood since he first started reciting lines from Jim Carrey movies to himself. Brian’s special blend of improvisational goofiness and rugged looks make him not only perfect for this role, but also a great fit for Abdulbaki’s style of directing. Watching all these guys working together is history in the making!
As "Luis"
I had a blast working with this amazingly talented cast and crew to help bring this movie about friendship and love of cinema to life. Getting to share the screen with my fellow Anthonys and the incredibly funny Brian D. Cohen, is an opportunity I am very grateful for. Much Love to our Writer and Director Mr. Z! Thank you for trusting me to bring "Luis" to life.
This role struck a chord with me as I got to be the voice of encouragement I have been fortunate enough to receive in my own life. I hope you all enjoy the movie!
As "Carmen"
I am very excited for you all to see this film. "Scorpion Cocktail" was my first time working on a film set and I am extremely grateful for the experience I gained from it. I immediately felt safe and I knew that I could trust the whole cast and crew. I want to thank Zack for giving me this opportunity and for trusting me with Carmen. I hope you enjoy it!
As "Earl & Hurley" (the border guards). Luke and Ben improvised every single line of dialogue in the film. They originally played these roles in Zack's previous film "It's Gone" where they were stationed at the Canadian border.
"Scorpion" takes place in the same universe. So, we can imagine that Earl and Hurley were somehow transferred to the Mexican border.
Director of Photography
This collaboration with Zack and the crew was one of true creative spirit. With minimal resources but a lot of heart, this project proved to be an extremely rewarding challenge for me as an artist, inspired by an all-willing team and undying vision.
Here's to hoping you enjoy what came of our journey across the border and that more entertaining collaborations are to come very soon!

Katie studied screenwriting along with Zack - in fact, her first ever film class was with him (yay Jill Condon!). While challenging from a production standpoint, the border scene was so cool to see come to life and such an honor to be a part of.
